The rooms were quite homely which was nice and powerful showers always go down well. Price of the breakfast was on the expensive side for what it was. Only ate there once when realising the cost. Great room, great location. An excellent hotel we would definitely use again.
Its location isn't perfect for tourists, but there's plenty within strolling distance and transport links are good. Interiors are stylish and in-room tech particularly impresses. The restaurant is excellent, though pricey, and the alfresco option is unusual for London hotels. Rates are high, but this is still central London and a swish example of this caliber of hotel -- compare rates with St Martins Lane Hotel for a more central setting. Through a discreet neo-classical archway off a busy road, down elegant stone steps, and into a serene courtyard is the entrance to the Apex Temple Court Hotel.

Interiors are groovy, the rooms are luxurious, and the location is peaceful — close to both Covent Garden and St Paul's Cathedral. Breakfast is a reasonable price, too. The lobby staff seemed slightly at a loss — I was delivered politely to my room, but nothing was explained — and the raised computer monitors on reception form an off-putting barrier. However, everyone is keen to help and the dining and bar staff members were charming. Free local phone calls and Wi-Fi.

By Laura Porter. Contemporary interior design in the public spaces and guest rooms makes this a hidden gem. This is the third hotel from Apex in London; the others are also in the City of London. Comfortable luxury and understated elegance are good descriptions of the Apex style. Higher level rooms have Nespresso coffee machines too. The City of London is now a business district but was the site of the original settlement of London.
