It would be a huge understatement to say that Kim Kardashian went through a lot at the end of , and now that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is back, this season has promised us a more personal look into what happened when she was robbed in Paris last October. Next Sunday night, footage filmed at the same time of the incident will finally air on the show, and now, we have a sneak peek into the episode. In a new promo for KUWTK , Kim tells her sisters about her robbery , and the situation is even more horrifying than it seemed originally after hearing it from her firsthand. Since Kim took a break from the public eye directly after her robbery and has been markedly less open about her private life on social media since then, KUWTK will be the first time we get to hear about what happened straight from Kim herself. I can't imagine what that had to be like for her, and it seems that next week, we'll finally hear the rest of the details about what happened that night.

Last October, Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and robbed by five armed men at the Paris residence she was staying at. Kim even took to her Twitter account just hours prior to the episode airing to explain why she decided to talk about the events on the show. However, the main focus is on Kim reunited with her family going over the emotionally daunting situation. The stories were emotional, and of course heartbreaking. Make sure to head over to E! When an event is so traumatic that it can be difficult to talk about with your closest friends and family, how do you turn it into public consumption? Its stars are engaging in a constant balancing act between updating their lives just enough in real time to remain relevant, and holding enough back to make their reality show worth watching. So the episode begins with pre-robbery Kardashian life in full gear. We watch debates over high ponies, beige leggings and lace collars. We see Kim Snapchatting effusively, cutting between shots of her filming on her phone, and the footage from the phone itself. Is it just the harsher light, or do the Kardashian women seem older in their confessionals? Kim tells the story twice — once directly to camera, and once to Kourtney and Khloe at her house, and we hear these two accounts layered together.
That's the way the Kardashians talk when they tell the story of Kim being held at gunpoint in Paris — they emphasize that before everything went wrong, the trip was lovely. It's Kourtney's first trip to Paris for Fashion Week, the family's being dressed by Balmain and Givenchy, Kendall's walking in a big show, and Kanye's even flown in to help Kim with her looks. Let's not discuss the fact that when Kanye does take a day off his tour to offer fashion tips, he's wearing what appears to be a very old Champion brand crewneck sweatshirt. It's weirdly suspenseful to watch them merrily make their way through Paris, even though we already know exactly how the story ends. But about halfway through, the episode finally starts piecing together a narrative of the attack, and it's pretty comprehensive. What we're given is a blend of some professional camera work, but also self-shot footage, tabloid photos and headlines, and video from Kanye's documentary crew. Isn't Kanye's documentarian basically a teen with a camcorder from the s?
